Rachel Fordham’s books are the very definition of sweet! They’re lovely tales filled with sweet romances, lovable characters and impactful God truths and A Lady in Attendance was no exception, it 100% met all my expectations! This book had a slightly different feel than her books as there was less focus on the small town that her other books have and there was a touch more mystery. Can the questions that loom between them ever be answered? Or will the deeds of days gone by forever rob the future of its possibilities? Perhaps there is more to this woman than meets the eye. She finds a friend and a hope that if she can set her tarnished past in order, she might have a future after all.Īs Gilbert becomes accustomed to the pleasant chatter of his new dental assistant, he can’t help but sense something secretive about her. In the presence of her quiet and pious employer, Hazel finds more than an income. So when she takes a job as Doctor Gilbert Watts’s lady in attendance in 1898, she does so under an alias. Here’s a bit about the book:įive years in a New York state reformatory have left a blemish on Hazel’s real name. I was super impressed with The Hope of Azure Springs and knew she was an author I’d need to keep a watch on. I first heard of Rachel Fordham when I won a signed copy of her debut novel and she kindly posted it all the way to New Zealand. Today I’m pleased to be sharing a review of A Lady in Attendance, Rachel Forham’s latest, with you all.
